
All parents of students enrolled at Harborlight are members of the Harborlight Parent Association. The HPA is an organization of parents and caregivers whose purpose is to support the School through volunteerism, fundraising, and community building. The HPA's mission is to create a venue by which all parents can actively participate in the School; to foster a spirit of involvement; and to sponsor special events for both children and families. The HPA strives to enhance parent-to-parent and school-to-parent communications and supports adjunct curriculum opportunities for the students.
Studies have shown that a child's education is enriched by parental involvement in the fabric of the school. With this in mind the Harborlight Parent Association's mission is to promote parental involvement in order to enrich each child's education and each family's experience at Harborlight.
The Harborlight Parent Association's goal is to have 100% participation from Harborlight families. Volunteering is a great way to start. We encourage all parents to find an opportunity that suits them and jump right in!
We encourage parents to attend the next HPA meeting. Please check the bulletin board in main lobby for HPA meeting dates and times. We need all parents to help and we want all parents' input.
