Susan Egan, Founding Head of School, with Jeffrey Murray, alumnus of the first class at Harborlight back in 1973, along with his classmate, Jed Dickman! Jeffrey’s daughter, Danielle, will be starting Harborlight this fall in the Early Childhood program, following in her dad’s footsteps!
Dear Harborlight Alumni,
As Harborlight students move on to other schools, we can’t help but wonder what each will offer the community at large and what will be their greatest accomplishments, fondest memories and most important attributes. Harborlight alumni try to keep in touch, with the School and with their Harborlight friends. But we know that as they get busy, form new friendships and tackle new interests, they may not find the time to keep those communications current. Our goal is to encourage recent and former graduates and alumni to share with us and their friends the paths their lives have taken since leaving Harborlight. We hope you will utilize Harborlight’s Facebook page to keep in touch with old friends and with what is going on at the School. Through Facebook, we will post announcements and send invitations to events we think you would enjoy. Spread the word. Join Harborlight on Facebook using the link below! And, most importantly, come back to Harborlight. The door is always open!
P.S. To Parents of Alumni: You also have a special relationship with Harborlight. Don’t be strangers! You chose Harborlight for your children as the foundation for their education and, while here, helped sustain the growth of this great school. Harborlight continues to move forward. From a church basement in 1973 with a classroom of 27 children, Harborlight has grown and evolved to the outstanding school it is today. Harborlight currently enrolls approximately 250 students, educates and guides the growth and development of each of these children, and graduates responsible and productive citizens ready to the challenges of the world. Stay connected and be involved. Currently, parents of two Harborlight alumni serve on the Board. Others participate in Harborlight’s Annual Fund. Harborlight will always strive for excellence, from student programming to the improvement of the facility and grounds, in order to meet the needs of all students and their families.
